About the Job

Important Note: Companies usually expect drivers to complete at least 600 deliveries per month. Lower than this may not be accepted unless due to serious illness or injury.

Work Locations in Croatia

Jobs are available in most major Croatian cities, including:

  • Zagreb
  • Rijeka

Working Hours & Weekly Off

  • Minimum 150 deliveries per week (around 25 per day).
  • Maximum 60 working hours per week.
  • 6 working days + 1 weekly off (4 off days/month).
  • Example Shift: 10 AM – 3 PM, break, then 5 PM – 10 PM.
  • Annual Vacation: 4 weeks (unpaid).

Accommodation & Food

  • Free accommodation provided by the company.

    • In Zagreb: 4 people per room with private bathroom.

    • Other cities: may be apartments/flats (varies by location).

  • 2 free meals daily (lunch & dinner).

Contract & Other Benefits

  • 1-year employment contract (extendable with work permit).
  • 1-month trial period.
  • Health and pension contributions paid by company.
  • Company vehicle can be used in free time.
  • Free Croatian SIM card with unlimited calls/data.

Types of Work Permits in Croatia

Non-EU citizens need a work permit to work legally. Types include:

  1. Short-term permit – up to 90 days.
  2. Long-term permit – up to 1 year, extendable.
  3. Seasonal permit – up to 9 months (tourism/agriculture).
  4. Independent permit – for freelancers/self-employed.
  5. Intra-company transfer permit – for foreign company employees.

Requirements for a Work Permit

  • Valid passport.
  • Job offer/contract from a Croatian employer.
  • Education or work experience proof.
  • Completed work permit application form.
  • Payment of application fee.

Steps to Apply for a Work Permit in Croatia

  1. Find a Croatian employer willing to hire you.
