The Germany Livestock Traineeship Program offers international graduates the chance to gain real-world experience in livestock farming through a legal and structured traineeship. Participants will work on certified farms across Germany, assisting in animal care, farm operations, and learning modern agricultural techniques.

Program Details

  • Duration: Up to 12 months
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime paid)
  • Hourly Rate: €12.82 (before tax)

  • Processing Time: Approximately 3.5 months

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Life Science, or Animal Husbandry Veterinary graduates are not eligible
  • University Recognition: The institution must be listed as H+ on the Anabin Portal
  • Graduation: Within the last 5 years
  • Age: 21 to 35 years
  • English Proficiency: Minimum B1 level, verified through an interview with EU Helpers
  • Financial Readiness: Ability to cover travel, visa, and initial living expenses
  • Driving License: Not mandatory, but considered an advantage
  • Personal Qualities: Motivated, reliable, and physically fit for farm work

Required Documents

  • CV in EU Helpers Format with a recent smiling photo
  • Degree or diploma certificate
  • Academic transcript with course names and grades
  • Passport copy (all pages, clear and valid)

All documents must be in English or officially translated into English.

Nationality Guidelines

  • Eligible: All nationalities
  • Not Eligible: Applications from Pakistan, African countries, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Cuba, Libya, and Syria cannot be accepted

Program Benefits

Salary & Compensation

  • Approx. €2,051 gross per month
  • Overtime pay in line with German labor laws

Accommodation

  • Provided near the workplace
  • Shared apartments or houses with essential facilities
  • Approximate cost: €300/month (deducted from salary)
